Suggestions Please!

Okay. 

So.

I just want you guys to please be honest with me.

Am I doing something wrong?

Because...I see these blogs. And, don't get me wrong, they are awesome-sauce (yes, I did just say that). They have like seriously perf designs and cute profile pics and everything. And they have, like, 50 something followers. And a lot of them have only joined between now and earlier this year (like springtime).

And here I am, blogging for over a year (yay, throw the confetti ^^) and I have...eleven followers. And that's counting my friend's now inactive Blogger account.

Okay, I know I have cheesy, primary-level design, and I don't post as often as other bloggers do...but I kind of feel like you have to be in this special "circle" in order to get more followers.

Idk...maybe I'm wrong. Scratch that--I am most likely wrong. But that's never stopped me before, has it?

Anyway. I think I might be doing something wrong. Yeah, having a blog design that doesn't look like an eight-year-old girl's would probably help. But I know less than nothing about html coding, and my extremely low patience levels sort of block me from learning about it.

But I comment on other people's blog and try to post at least once a week and I try really hard to get more followers or at least more pageviews and I just



So...what do you guys think I should do? Better posts? More posts? Trying to get in on the special blogger social circle? (Lol, that one's a laugh. I couldn't get into a social circle even if I wanted to-- which I don't, by the way.)

Pleeease give me suggestions. Every time I ask people to comment and help me out, only like one person does. But I really need help here. Please tell me what kind of posts I should do, and let me know if you know someone who knows html really well and is willing to design blogs on a near-professional level...but for free. (Haha, that's probably impossible.)

Please. Please. Please comment, guys. I'm almost begging you. Please.

    I literally had the same problem you did on my old blog so I just decided I'd have a fresh start and try to upload more often and it helps :)

    Also, the point of blogging is not to get more followers or more pageviews. I used to agonize over it too (remember when I took down my Google Friend Connect?) and I wanted to be famous and stuff...but then I realized that if it's God's will, He'll let me have it in His due time. For now, I think I'll try to focus on having fun and being random and weird. Because heaven knows no celebrity is really like that. (Except for maybe Jennifer Lawrence...)

    I would say to do some "researching" - I do not know what was up with the sketchy quote marks there but, although you said social situations weren't really your thing but just finding other blogs out there and commenting, they can then look back at yours! Sometimes I use the google blogger search to search for topics and posts I would like to read and then I find a lot more interesting bloggers! Also, you should get your bloglovin button on your blog as I only have like 5 google followers but around 60 on bloglovin so I would get that! Hope I helped

    I think you're doing a wonderful job! You have a beautiful blog design and amazing posts!:)
    I'm not sure whether this is the case or not...but there are some problems with your GFC follow button. The only way to follow you is to click on the 2 overlapped squares on the top right hand corner.

    I totally get your drift, girl! I am starting on my THIRD year of blogging and I still have less than 20 followers (and I post once a week and try to comment on other blogs and all that jazz).
    I just discovered your blog, but I think it is really cute and fun design-wise. A suggestion I have is to add at least one big picture with a caption in every post so that you can pin it to Pinterest (and others can too). Good luck with gaining more followers/views! Hopefully it won't take you as long as me ;)

    P.S I followed you via bloglovin, so you gained one follower at least :)

    I love your blog design, there are certainly nothing wrong with it. There is not really any special circle to get extra followers. I've also joined around spring time as well. and others who joined last month with 100 followers. A lot of people ask for follow backs which is probably why they have a lot of followers.       Thanks! ^^ I just changed my design yesterday :P I've thought about asking people to follow me, but I've seen a lot of bloggers say that it's annoying when people to ask them to follow so :/ But I have been trying to get into leaving my link in the comments, so that's been helping!     I have the exact same problem. I have kind of given up on trying to figure out why, and just let myself trust that at least somebody reads it. Joining TBC also helped a LOT. My friends occasionally share my blog, and honestly, I don't really want my blog to get super huge, because omg the PRESSURE! I have read so many articles about how to make you blog big, and really they're all full of crap. I think it's more of a community thing, so just keep sharing! Good luck! <3
