words.

type, type, type...

search.

click, click, click...

you think you'll find something to end the sadness.

but you won't.

unless you're searching for Bible verses.

because that's where our hope is.

actually, our hope is in Christ.

David tells us, all throughout the Psalms, that our hope is in the Lord.

it may seem like you've gone too far but you haven't.

it may seem like you don't deserve His grace--and, trust me, you don't.

none of us do.

but He gives it to us, regardless.

you think you're too sinful?

Jesus came for the sinful.

why did He come to earth?

to cleanse us of sins.

so what good would His painful death on the cross be if none of us sinned?

what, then? should we sin so that His death can mean something? (Romans 6:1)

absolutely not!

but, as His children, we can know that if we make a mistake, He will graciously forgive us.

He is forgiving.

He is loving.

and He loves you.

it doesn't matter than there's an estimated seven billion people on this planet.

God sees each and every one of us as if we're the only person on the planet.

and, yes, He's able to do that.

if He can take away the sin of the world (John 1:29

and strip death of its power (1 Corinthians 15:55),

can't He also love each of us personally and unconditionally?

so He loves you.

and He desperately wants for you to love Him.

He's your father, and He wants a relationship with you.

He will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5).

He will not give up on you.

as long as you remain faithful and turn to Him, He will help you.

and if you have already turned to Him, and you think He's not helping you: He is.

trust me.

it takes time, and you might not see it at first.

but slowly and surely, you'll see Him work in your life.

you just have to stay faithful.

He replied, “...Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed...Nothing will be impossible for you.”--Matthew 17:20

So a random post with a random photo (taken by yours truly) at 1:00 a.m. in the morning. Yup. That feels appropriate. Feels right for my blog.

I really just want someone who's feeling really discouraged right now to stumble across this, and maybe it'll help them. I know I did that a lot when I was struggling--stumbling across little things that were surprising really helpful and encouraging. So yeah. I hope it does that for someone.

(Sorry if there are typos; like I said, it's 1 in the morning.)
