So I read on Pinterest (and, I know I know, Pinterest isn't always right) some news about the next movie in the Divergent series, Insurgent. For those of you who don't already know, Uriah, one of the main characters from the Divergent book, wasn't in the Divergent movie. But he's going to be in Insurgent. Of course, everyone was wondering which actor would play Uriah. Well, like I said before, this information has NOT BEEN CONFIRMED, but a rumor has gone around Pinterest that...
TAYLOR LAUTNER WILL PLAY URIAH IN INSURGENT AND ALLEGIANT.
Can someone say "No"? OMG, this is horrible. We're talking about the guy who played Jacob in Twilight being in our movie. Yes, I said our (meaning all the members of the Divergent fandom) movie, because this movie is really for us, and we should have the right to disapprove of actors we don't want in our movie.
Anyway...I could go on and on for hours about how much I hate this, but really, it doesn't matter. Why?
1: This might not actually be the actor playing Uriah, so I might not have anything to fuss about anyway
and
2: Even if Taylor Lautner is Uriah, it's not like I can do anything about it. The possibly brain damaged casting director already chose the actor, and a couple of reeling fangirls aren't going to change his/hers/its decision.
And it's not like I'm planning to go see Insurgent anyway. I didn't watch Divergent because I saw the trailer, and I didn't like what I saw.
For one thing, they added all this "sexiness" to the movie. Absolutely none of that was in the book, and I hate how they added that to the movie.
And I can't get over the actor that was chosen to be Four. Sure, Theo James is attractive, but that doesn't mean he's meant to play Four. I just can't imagine Four looking like that.
Anyway, I'm done with my ineffective rant.
